About Us

The Therapists of Color

We are a group practice of Therapists of Color deeply committed to providing an inclusive, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can feel heard, understood, and validated. We prioritize the well-being and empowerment of each individual we serve.

While each of our approaches is unique in it's own way, all of our services are rooted practicing liberation psychology. We believe in community and helping our patients understand and heal themselves but we also believe we are part of a larger system that requires change. While helping our clients heal, we take into account the power of oppressive systems on your mental health and find a way to talk and process issues that are much larger that us.

We invite you to embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery, healing, and growth with our team of dedicated therapists. Together, we can navigate the complexities of your experiences, develop personalized strategies for coping with stress, and foster inner peace and resilience.

We are here to support you on your path to emotional well-being and to create positive change in your life and community. Reach out to us today to schedule an appointment and take the first step towards a brighter future.

Our Story

TOC Therapy started in 2014 as a vision during my graduate school journey. Surrounded by a team of dedicated People of Color studying to become therapists, I dreamt of a space that not only acknowledged cultural differences but integrated them into the very fabric of treatment. Hence, the name "The Therapists of Color" was born, abbreviated as TOC, pronounced like "TALK" - a playful pun that encapsulates our commitment to Talk Therapy.

At TOC Therapy, our mission extends far beyond a clever name. We strive to create a mental health environment that embraces and celebrates cultural diversity, recognizing the significance of generational trauma, healing, and resiliency. We have been fortunate to have an exceptional group of therapists of color who bring their unique expertise and cultural perspectives to empower and uplift clients like you.

Our team of clinicians is deeply committed to cultivating a safe, welcoming, and empowering space for our clients. We integrate intersectionality and culturally-attuned practices into our treatment approaches, recognizing the multifaceted nature of your experiences. Whether you seek support for anxiety, work-related stress, relationship challenges, or complex family dynamics, we approach therapy from a holistic perspective, working alongside you as partners on your journey to well-being.

We invite you to explore the profiles and therapeutic styles of our clinicians and schedule a complimentary consultation with those who resonate with you. We believe that finding the right support is essential, and we are here to guide you through the process.

Thank you for considering TOC Therapy as you embark on your path towards self-care and healing. We are honored to be a part of your mental health journey and look forward to supporting you in creating positive change in your life.

Wishing you well(ness)
